FAQ
-
What can I expect in my first session?
The first session is about understanding what brings you in and what you hope to get out of therapy. We’ll explore your goals, patterns, and current challenges, and I’ll share how I typically work so you have a sense of what to expect. It’s a collaborative space; we’ll use that first hour to start building clarity, direction, and a plan that fits you.

Who typically comes into my office?
I help high-performing individuals, men, adolescents, and culturally diverse clients who are ready to take an honest look at themselves and grow in a supportive, collaborative space. Many of my clients come in struggling with perfectionism, emotional reactivity, burnout, or a constant sense of “not doing enough.”
I focus on helping clients strengthen psychological flexibility, emotional intelligence, and mental resilience, so they can perform, connect, and live more intentionally. Whether you’re navigating stress, relationship challenges, identity questions, or trauma, therapy with me is designed to provide clarity, growth, and practical tools for lasting change.
-
What types of therapy do you use?
My approach is integrative and evidence-based. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), tailoring the approach to your goals and needs. I focus on making therapy practical and applicable — not just theoretical — so you can take what we discuss into daily life and apply it to work, relationships, and personal growth.

1. ADHD and attention-related challenges

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
Yes. I provide in-person therapy in Calgary and online therapy for clients across Alberta and Montreal. You can choose what feels most comfortable; some clients prefer the structure and presence of in-person sessions, while others value the flexibility and accessibility of online therapy.

Do you provide direct billing or insurance receipts?
I don’t offer direct billing, but I provide detailed receipts that can be submitted to your insurance provider. Most extended health plans cover sessions with registered psychologists.
